Soarin’ Round the World
Go on a virtual hang gliding adventure at Soarin’ Round the World. Located at Epcot, you’ll “cruise above” some of the world’s most remarkable destinations. All this is brought to you courtesy of an IMAX projection dome and film footage from a “hang glider” perspective. See the Great Wall of China, South American rainforest, and boats in Sydney harbor.
Located in Tomorrowland, this jungle cruise is a 10 minute journey that is some cheesy fun, yet also gives your tired feet a little break. A feature since 1955, when it opened at Disneyland Park, it is a ride that is a staple at Disney Worlds across the globe.
Teach your kids how arcade games were done old school style as you challenge them to a game of pinball at one of many Disney World’s arcades. There are over 1,500 different games for kids of all ages. This is the perfect activity when the weather is too hot or rainy. Learn more here: Arcades in the Park
Who doesn’t love 18 holes of putt-putt? The Fantasia Gardens & Miniature Golf course is a family-friendly adventure. Two miniature golf courses, based on the movie Fantasia, will have you screaming (and/or cursing) as you try to sink a hole in one.
Want your little princess to truly feel like a Disney princess? Or do you want to have a “Princess Diana” moment? Then take your little princess and yourself on a 25 minute carriage ride; available at two locations: Port Orleans and Fort Wilderness. It’s a magical way to let your tired adult feet rest before hitting another park. And if you’re there in December, you can go on a “cozy” sleigh ride decorated for the holiday season. Dining: Disney World Activities Kids & Adults will Love
Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace
Who doesn’t love fireworks and who doesn’t love sweets? Both are at the top of most kids and adults’ lists of excellent ways to spend an evening. Watch the fireworks show at Cinderella castle from the Tomorrowland Terrace while devouring ice cream and a “create your own cookie.” Bribe the kids into being good during the day by promising them this amazing experience at night! 🙂 Learn more here: Fireworks Dessert Party
Character Dining Options
Yes, you can dine with your favorite Disney characters (c’mon, we know you have a favorite, too, just like your kids!). You can dine in a Medieval castle with your favorite storybook princesses; join Princess Tiana for a Riverboat cruise and ice cream sundaes; and meet Minnie Mouse and Mickey, Daisy, Donald and Goofy for dinner celebrations—and starting September 4, 2017, lunch too! Think of all the photos you can post to Instagram! Many of these character dining options offer opportunities to pose with the popular characters. Put a smile on your face, and on your kids’ faces too!
Coming Soon: Dine in Space!
In an immersive environment that will make you feel like Buzz Aldrin, you can enjoy an “out of this world” experience. Coming soon (opening date as yet unannounced), a new restaurant will offer table service with extraordinary views of worlds beyond ours. The new restaurant will be located next to the popular astronaut simulation ride Mission: Space, in Epcot.
